We tried to continue in the face of snowstorms every 3-4 days, but a combination of Mother Nature and a faulty fuel gauge on the tractor has finally foiled us. The tractor is dead out of diesel on the side of the hill and our house looks like an igloo. At least the framing team got the foundation covered before this latest storm.
The roof of the lonely port-o-potty shows the snow accumulation over the past couple of weeks...probably about 18 inches total.
Basil and I tried to revive the tractor by hauling a sled full of diesel and toolboxes up the hill (THAT was fun) but ran out of battery power - despite a backup battery - before we could get the tractor to turn over. Chris and he will try again on Saturday. Wish us luck!
