Yard transformation

The excavators finished up this morning and the exterior of the house really is transformed. Gone are the piles of debris. Now we have fresh topsoil on both sides of the house and a nicely gravelled driveway. We'll be in great shape to create some greenery in the Spring. Here are a few pics:

"The dooryahd":
West side of the house (the side you see when you drive up to the house). There is now a set of stone steps there, created from some of the larger, flat blast rocks. Next to the house is a future "rain garden" of rocks (now) with some plantings to arrive (later):

The guys have moved to the back of the garage to finish up siding. The dormer at the top of the house, unfortunately, still needs siding, and now there is talk of a snowstorm on Monday. Drat!
