"Keep them doggies movin', Rawhide!"

Ah, life at the Chadbourne Corral! Crews galore this week as internal house systems started to overlap...continued framing, electrical, plumbing, and roofing - all happily (?) coexisting. We found out our driveway indeed has quite a bit of parking! No news on the well, yet. We should know more over the next few days.

The below photo is of Gary and his team constructing the kitchen soffit. This custom contraption will house 8-10 recessed lights and something called "cove lighting" involving several fluorescent bars that are supposed to glow upward behind a hidden "lip" in the soffit.
I know. I don't really get it either. It caused a lot of arguments. Eventually we threw away the architects' drawings and drew cartoon pictures with Sharpie pens on the framing timbers to figure it out. It had better look good once this kitchen is all done!
Last but not least, "The Potty Princesses". Ava will get me back for this picture one day. This is her BFF, Willow. They each refused to use the port-o-potty alone. Luckily, the thing was serviced just yesterday, so I didn't have to explain much when the two of them peered into the void (ha ha).
