Even though I'm a layperson in the construction industry, something tells me it's not good to have puddles inside the house two business days before the insulation team shows up. This photo was taken with my camera phone hence the bad resolution, but you get the idea. We had a wicked thunderstorm last Wednesday afternoon and this was the result.
The framers and I quickly realized the source of the problem - a leak in the dormer - and installed ice & water shield on the entire dormer. We should be all set now, just in the nick of time for the insulation team to work their magic next week. The interior will look VERY different by this Friday!

good timing for the3 rainstorm - it allowed the problem to get fixed before too much damage!!!
