It looks calm and peaceful here, but what an insane week it was! Every day, multiple crews were on site. Cast of characters last week included: excavators, well drillers, plumbers, plumbing inspector (we passed!), electrician, dampproofing guys, concrete crew, architects, framer, heating crew, and lumber delivery, sand, and gravel trucks coming and going. A few toes got stepped on, traffic jams occurred, and a few items came out not quite as expected, but in the big picture, we're speeding right along with only a few bumps. The weather was a challenge and included driving rain, wind and even some snow flurries, but everyone kept on truckin'. I am really impressed with all the crews. They keep a sense of humor no matter what Mother Nature throws at them. These Mainers are tough! The above picture is everything in place in preparation for pouring the basement slab tomorrow. The tubes running all over the place are the setup for our radiant floor heating system. Next winter...toasty toes!
